Aims & Objectives: This course focuses on introduction to English literature regarding poetry and short stories in which poetry portion deals with genres, its specific historical development of poetry and its types. Readers would find here a combination of elegy, ode, ballad, free verse, and many other types. Short stories are included. Students will be able to recognize the elements of short stories as character, theme, symbol and settings. It will develop their writing skills in the medium of short story.
