  • Lecture 01: Introduction to Spiritualism

    The very first lecture of the course (Sufism and Pashto Literature) elaborates spiritualism. The advent of spiritualism, evolution, theories and its impacts on society but through assorted mystical approaches through ages.
    From greek philosophy, Mysticism, Vadanut, Kabala ans Sufism's brief history and their tenets / ideas is to be discussed in this lecture. 

    At the end, the dawn of sufism /Tasawwuf in the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); before and after Islam was revealed to him and during the reign of great caliphs of Islam till Abbasid regime, the evolution of Sufism will be highlighted.

  • Lecture 02: Sufism in the light of Quran and Sunnah

    The 2nd lecture of the course (Sufism and Pashto Literature) elaborates  scope and significance of Sufism. It depicts the role and contribution of sufism to society but due to contrast views of some of the critics of Tasawwuf, it is mandatory to prove its relations / roots through authentic islamic sources i.e. Quran and Sunnah. Hence, the lexical and terminological meanings of Tasawwuf will be discussed in detail; particularly, the terminological meanings covers assorted aspects such as Tazkia Nafs, Ikhlaq and more. Hence, the terminological meaning needs to be studied properly.
