by Syed Maqbool Ahmed s/d/o Syed hazrat Ali -Learning a language is a natural phenomena Children acquire language through a subconscious process during which they are unaware of grammatical rules. This happens especially when they acquire their first language. Language learning, on the other hand, is the result of direct instruction in the rules of language.
And Language acquisition is the process by which humans acquire the capacity to perceive and comprehend language.

by Meraj Ud Din s/d/o Ghulam Haider -My thoughts on how to aquire any language is; Aquiring language is more easy than learning any language because learning language need a lot of practice, strict use of grammer, use of correct words etc. On the contrary; Aquiring language needs not any rules of grammer. It just need a social gathering and emvironment in which that aquiring language is used atleast 70 precent. In the same video the professor is teaching that how a person can easily aquire and speak any language within one year.

A very informative and guiding video for knowing how to gain a language. Here, the professors discuss the language acquisition and language learning, and how the people adop these two languages. The language acquisition is the subconscious development that takes place as a result of natural phenomenon.Language acquisition is acquired with out any systematic practices, Any formal teaching but it is based on nature. There is no mean that why a baby is capable to gain the words spoke by the elders, but the research shows that a language learning capacity is found in human naturally just after her/his bearth. On the other hand, language learning is based on practical struggles means the way through which the art of using skill and practices is given to learn then it is called language learning also called language (2).The professor hereby shares his own experience that he has worked to learn Arabic language, but he leaned, and now he is speaking Arabic fluently Same is the case with all languages in a acquisitional way and and in a learning way
Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Muhammad asif s/d/o Allah din -AS we have been learnt in midterm classes about language acquisition and language learning and difference b/w these is that acquisition mean picking up language ,subconsciously observing the language having a find for or feel for.
but learning is that which we learn consciously with rules ,classroom ,grammar ,notebook and pen .
acquisition is different and powerful from learning , as we know that children acquire language from society and parents .they can acquire it soon mean his 1st language ,babies never learn grammar to acquire language .
in this video professor advised to be Natural approach student because this makes score higher by listing stories,
Natural approach students gain 75% words but traditional approach student gain 36%of words .
in this video professor is in favor of language acquisition because himself acquire Arabic language easily .
Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Janat khan s/d/o Abdul Wahid -You have explained the rest of the reply in a very outstanding way, but at the end, you have mentioned that....
"Professor is himself in favor of language acquisition because he has acquired the Arabic language easily"
Here, the professor has learned the Arabic language as a "language learning" means he has not acquired but learned that is why a person can acquire language in his baby age which is called language acquisition .
Here the professor is no more a baby but he is trying to learn something as Language (2) or language learning.
Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Saif Ud Din s/d/o Mehrab Ud Din -After watching this video, my thoughts are as below ..
To the best my knowledge, to acquire any language, the 1st and foremost step is the environment which can help you acquire any language(We acquire our native language easily because of the environment).
The 2nd step is the observation, to acquire any language the second step is to observe that what the speaker says. (observe the words of the speaker)
The 3rd step is to see the expression of the speaker that what is a person's expression after using the sentence . Through his expression you can understand his words .(like kids , they see the expression of parents , if you cry, so the kid will also cry . If you laugh, the kid will also start laughing becaus he sees your facial expression)
The 4th step is implementation, first you observe the words ,then you see the expression that what is a person's expression after using this particular sentence, then you start implementing and through implementation a person interacts with others. Gradually he begins to speak. Finally the person succeeds in acquiring that particular language.
In short, to acquire any language, these four steps are integral I believe .
1 Environment
2 Observation
3 Expression
4 Implementation

by Shahzaib Umar s/o Muhammad Umar -He did prove to gain mastery of a second language (Arabic) within a year.
So, definitely, the idea to acquire a language instead of learning it, really counts to us.
Amazing attempt of a French professor, who has already learnt 7 or more then seven languages. Here in this video he informs us that any of you can learn the language by acquiring it simply as a child does .He shares his fast experiences that the languages I have learnt by the technique of acquiring like a child, doesn't need much stress and hardworking . He says I haven't learnt the grammar of any language but still I can speak 7 languages fluently without committing mistakes. His main message shows that a man can learn language by acquiring it within one year....

Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Izzat Ullah s/d/o Aulia Khan -Children acquire language quickly, easily, and without effort or formal teaching. It happens automatically, whether their parents try to teach them or not.
Although parents or other caretakers don't teach their children to speak, they do perform an important role by talking to their children. Children who are never spoken to will not acquire language. And the language must be used for interaction with the child; for example, a child who regularly hears language on the TV or radio but nowhere else will not learn to talk.
Children acquire language through interaction - not only with their parents and other adults, but also with other children. All normal children who grow up in normal households, surrounded by conversation, will acquire the language that is being used around them. And it is just as easy for a child to acquire two or more languages at the same time, as long as they are regularly interacting with speakers of those languages.
The special way in which many adults speak to small children also helps them to acquire language. Studies show that the 'baby talk' that adults naturally use with infants and toddlers tends to always be just a bit ahead of the level of the child's own language development, as though pulling the child along. This 'baby talk' has simpler vocabulary and sentence structure than adult language, exaggerated intonation and sounds, and lots of repetition and questions. All of these features help the child to sort out the meanings, sounds, and sentence patterns of his or her language.

by Amna Jabeen s/d/o Zaheer Ahmed -Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Amna Jabeen s/d/o Zaheer Ahmed -Language acquisition is the process whereby children achieve a fluent control of their native complex.
1: Children before 5 already know the complex system that make up the grammar of a language.
2: Children acquire a system of rules that enables them to construct and understand sentences, most of them have never produce or heard before
3: Children do not learn a new language but naturally acquire it thorough an innate device.
For example:
We are designed to walk... That we are taught to walk is impossible. And pretty much the same is true of language. Nobody is taught language. In fact you can't prevent the child from learning it.

by Waqas Ahmed s/d/o Akhtar Muhammad -Re: How to Acquire Any Language, NOT Learn It!
by Rasool Sayyaf s/d/o Abdul Khaliq -Acquiring a language on different stages needs its environment and the retrieval of its words again and again .
basically environment plays an important role in acquiring any language , where a person can acquire a language with the passage of time .
E.g. When a kid opens his/her eyes in this world , First of all that kid only knows crying/weeping but as the time passes that kid starts learning a language with the help of his/her parents and siblings . Because the elders keep that kid in a language environment where they call him/her with different names and the same he/she is absorbing his/her elders conversation , at one stage suddenly that kid starts speaking words , then he/she starts acquiring a language with the additional of new words in his/her daily routine .
