Here are the answers to frequently asked questions.
Question 1. When is our class going to start?
Answer: Go to "Orientation" section, and watch your first session/class. It has been recorded and added over there.
Question 2. I have forgotten my email login, do I register again?
Answer: No. Email dit@um.uob.edu.pk and ask them to send you login details.
Question 3. I don't even have access to email which I used when I was registering. What do I do then?
Answer:
If you have created personal email and had added your phone number to
receive verification code, so you click on "forget password" and you
will receive code to gain access to your personal email. Then, you shall
be able to see emails sent to you from the department of IT regarding
your login.
Question 4. Will our classes be LIVE?
Answer: No. All the lessons are pre-recorded. You can watch them at your own convenience.
Question 5. What about Zoom Meeting?
Answer: Each week there will be LIVE Q & A sessions via Zoom.
Question 6. When is our Zoom Meeting?
Answer: "Calender" where your LIVE sessions schedule is available.
Question 8. How do I access Zoom Meeting?
Answer: Go to "LIVE session" and see the details and link to the meeting.
Question 9. When is our class content going to be taught?
Answer: This is orientation week, so on Monday you will have your lessons available to you.
Question 10. Do I have to be online when my course instructor is online?
Answer: No. Your lessons are pre-recorded. However for Zoom Meeting, you are expected to be online.
Question 11. What if I miss attending LIVE Zoom session?
Answer:
It's absolutely alright, if for some valid reason, you miss attending
LIVE Q & A sessions. You can always watch the recording.
Question 12. What about our class timetable?
Answer:
We are not following any timetable. Each Monday, weekly tasks will be
made available to you. For Zoom Meeting, there is specific time, which
can be changed for each week.
Question 13. What about Quizzes?
Answer: There will be ungraded practice quizzes, meaning that their marks will not be transferred in your result.
Question 14. What about assignments?
Answer: Watch "Orientation" Lesson 1 and see the details regarding your assignment.
Question 15. How many hours do I have to spend online to complete the course?
Answer: You are expected to approximately 3 hours each week for Introduction to Linguistics Course.
Question 16. How long will be Zoom Meeting?
Answer: 1 hour (maximum)
