    • This Subject covers the introduction, concept of computer hardware, software, Operating System, Basic Networking and Application packages of Microsoft Office. The main objective of this course is to teach computing concepts to students and end users, to emphasize that why computers are such an integral part of organization today. Our approach is to strike a proper balance between the WHY and HOW of computer user.

       

                  In order to introduce students to hands on computer use, some practical assignment are also included in course.

  • History of Computer

    • Computers truly came into their own as great inventions in the last two decades of the 20th century. But their history stretches back more than 2500 years to the abacus: a simple calculator made from beads and wires, which is still used in some parts of the world today. The difference between an ancient abacus and a modern computer seems vast, but the principle making repeated calculations more quickly than the human brain is exactly the same.

  • Microsoft Word

    • Word 2013 is similar to Word 2010. If the Student have previously used Word 2010, then Word 2013 should feel familiar. Word 2013 is a word processing application that allows you to create a variety of documents like letters, flyers, and reports. With the introduction of several enhanced features—including the ability to create and collaborate on documents online—Word 2013 gives the ability to do more with word processing projects.

      After successful completion of this Course  module the Students will be able to use the Microsoft word 2013 and apply different techniques and new tools in their daily office work. The Students will practice some task given in the Notes during the class and lab work. 



  • Microsoft Excel

    • Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that is used to record and analyse numerical data. Think of a spreadsheet as a collection of columns and rows that form a table. Alphabetical letters are usually assigned to columns and numbers are usually assigned to rows. The point where a column and a row meet is called a cell. The address of a cell is given by the letter representing the column and the number representing a row.
