Definition:

Morphology is the Fundamental study of Words formation. It introduced in the half of Ninteenth Century. This field of linguistics deals with the internal structures of words. Words may be Content or Functional. Morphology enables man to understand the phenomenon of Words where we study Base, Roots, Affixes and Affixation.

Morphology usually Expresses the word "Morpheme". As 

Morpheme: it is the smallest meaningful unit in a grammar of any language. 

Morpheme is the smallest short Segment of a language.

What are the criterias of Morpheme? 

Their are basically 2 criterias of the word Morpheme.

1. Firstly, Morpheme can be the part of a word or it can be word.

2. Secondly, Morpheme can't be devided further into more short segments.

Their are 2 types of Morpheme

1. Free Morpheme

2. Bound Morpheme

1. 🌍 Free Morpheme is the One that can stand alone and give complete sense is called Free Morpheme.

Such as: Book, Table, Learn etc

2. 🌍 Bound Morpheme

Bound Morpheme can't stand alone And it can't give throughly meaning.

Such as: Affix= Ed, S, able etc
