Morphology is the branch of linguistics that gives structure and form of the words in a language

Moveover words are divided into two categories 

1)content words 2)functional words

Content words have lexical meaning and they are considered as open class on the other hand functional word do not have clear lexical meaning and they are known as close class

Some words are made up of one piece and some words are made up more than one piece or more than one component and these components are called morpheme.

Moroheme: A morpheme is a minimal unit of meaning.some qords are consist of one morpheme and some are consist of more than one morpheme 

     Peace = one morpheme   , peacefull= two morpheme 

There are two types of morphemes 

1) free moroheme.      2) bound moroheme 

Free moroheme: Moroheme that stands alone as a one word is known as free moroheme.

Bound moroheme: morpheme that do not stands as a word .
